The Daily Show! If you have cable, you have to watch the Daily Show today (or check it out online). The first news story is about the Healthy Penis campaign run by the San Francisco Department of Public Health. The very same campaign I got to march with in the San Francisco Pride Parade last month. There is something quite special about marching in a parade in general, much like I imagine running a major marathon is. Tons of happy people outside cheering for you—but the parade was without all the fuss of “exercise”. Throw in the fact that I’m marching next to a six foot penis and a big Syphilis sore named Phil, hearing people of all walks of life chant “Sy-phil-is! Sy-phil-is! Sy-phil-is!”, and passing out safe sex packets with items that to this day I can’t figure out what they’re used for, and you just can’t help but feel all warm and fuzzy inside….
