Don’t get off the couch.

Don’t get off the couch. Don’t ever get off the couch.

If you are a sports fan, the one thing you have learned this month is that there is no reason to get off the couch. Ever. Arguably the best playoffs in baseball ever, great College Football, and a pair of great Monday Night Football games, including last night’s that concluded with a game-saving tackle at the 1-yard line.

So tonight the World Series picks up again. Watching the Yankees win the ALCS in Game 7 in extra innings, at a bar where absolutely everyone (including the CEO of your company) is rooting for the Red Sox was indescribable, so I won’t even try. But with the Red Sox dispatched (and launched into another summer of whining), it’s time to take down the Marlins. The series is tied 1-1, and we have them right where we want them. Seriously. There’s no way the Yankees were going to win Game 1 after the craziness just a couple nights before. They won Game 2, they’ll win 2 out of 3 in Florida (probably lose Game 5), and win it back at home in Game 6. Book it.
