Year of the Monkey Friend

Good morning from my second home—Fort Lauderdale Airport. I’m heading up to Boston for a few days before heading to New York next week for services for Mom.

I’ve yapped more than my share about personal difficulties over the past year or so—the lion share of it related to people important in my life that worked me over for one reason or another.

In coping with my mom’s passing, I cannot put into words how much it meant to me to get calls and emails and text messages from so many friends. I did not expect to get notes from so many of you (i can count 18 off the top of my head) and the battery on my phone was dead by the end of the day. I hope I called/wrote/text’d back all of you, but I might have missed one or two.

In case I missed you, and even if I didn’t, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you, so, so, much.

Thank you.

  1. Mark, I am so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine what you are going through, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I know how important your relationship was.
