Malls

Man, am I glad I don’t work in Retail. Holiday shopping is bad enough, but working there? I went to the biggest mall I’ve ever been to today. I drove Mom to her physical therapy appointment today and I needed to kill some time. Sawgrass Mills. Ever heard of it? Weird thing is that I have. I’ve never been there, I can’t remember how I know it, but when I saw the sign I knew I had to check it out. It was ridiculous. You could tell that it was build in the late 80s/early 90s, but it was still pretty darn nice.

Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves, zipping in and out of stores, toting cute little kids to and fro. Even I got caught up in it. Somehow found myself in the J. Crew Factory Store of all places. I had a gray wool turtleneck in my hands before I came to. But when I did everything was different. Like I was freakin’ Frodo and I slipped on The Ring (ugh, I can believe I just said that. I feel dirty…), when I walked out of the store it was just people rushing here and there, and sneezy little kids spreading germs everywhere. But the worst of all? Those poor people working the mall. Man. I swear I’d just start punchin people, trippin little kids, and getting brief cases of Toretts (how the heck do you spell that?) anytime someone started talking to me. Aaaaaahh….. Makes me jittery just thinkin about it.
