There is nothing like New York City. I will repeat for emphasis:
There is nothing like New York City.
I’ve been grumpy pretty much all day today. Mom checks into the hospital tomorrow and it’s starting to weigh on me more. But, the hustle and bustle of New York City, and the feeling of being back in my birthplace—the capital of the world—has helped put a small smile on my face. I was thinking about meeting up with people that I know that live in NYC or Boston (I took Julie to Phi Sig last night and it was a total pit…), but haven’t done that yet. I really just haven’t been in the mood to do the whole, “Hey, what’s going on with you?” “My mom’s going in for another heart surgery!” “Great to hear!” just don’t have the energy for it…
