Merry Christmas Eve

My Kingdom For A Sports Bar »
Hello from cold Seattle everybody. With the grace and forethought of a shotgun wedding, I finished up my second major move in a week. Sold the car, sold the bike, moved all the stuff, filled up a dumpster that wasn’t mine, packed two full moving boxes, my duffel bag, and my backpack. The plan of getting to San Antonio with Katie in the early evening, spending some time on the Riverwalk, and maybe even meeting up with BethB for some drinks, turned into getting to the hotel at almost 1a, just hours before my 6a flight, wishing that the hotel had an hourly rate. Not sure which one of us was the hooker…
Just got back from seeing Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events with Ali on this pitstop on the Mark Phillip “Westward Ho!” Farewell Tour. Without ruining anything for those who haven’t seen it yet, the movie ends with the thought that a series of unfortunate events sometimes is not just that. Sometimes it’s the beginning of a new journey.
The day I leave my life in Austin is three months to the day that I left Trilogy—the day my “severance” officially ends.
My bags are packed.
